Øystein Baadsvik began playing the tuba at the age of fifteen at his school in Trondheim, Norway, and is now an internationally touring, award-winning tuba player.
In addition to Baadsvik’s international performances, he’s been getting a bit of a cult-like following from people who wouldn’t normally listen to tuba music. One of Baadsvik’s most well-known works is Fnugg (Norwegian for “something small” or “snowpflake”). Fnugg is written for solo tuba, and incorporates all sorts of beatboxing & other tricks like playing 2 notes at once.
