You know how when you slow a Justin Bieber song down by 800%, you get a neat ambient track? Well if you do this kind of thing with the most horrible sound in the world… OH MY GOD I CAN NEVER SLEEP AGAIN
The audio you hear in the video was created with a program called PaulStretch. It can stretch audio out pretty much as long as you want without affecting pitch, with the result sounding pretty smooth. It’s the audio of a modem connecting and exchanging a small amount of data.

Would love to just hear a standard slowed down version (ie, without the correction) – just to see what it sounds like without the artefacts that the stretching introduces.

I heard something like that in the Matrix movie.

I liked it. I find slowed music tracks e.g. Justin Bieber much more horrifying.
