Astronomer Patrick Moore Dies at 89

So what does an astronomer have to do with music, and sound – especially when we consider that there can be no sound in space? Well, as it turns out Sir Patrick Moore enjoyed, and was quite well at playing the xylophone, below is a piece he composed called “Penguin Parade:”

Of course the only way I found that out was after watching this (which made me confirm his xylophone playing skills):

Of course the xylophone is not what he is most known for, it is his mapping of the lunar surface, that both the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. used in their lunar missions.
